Restoration and renovation of a historic Park Slope synagogue built
in 1909, whose heavy plaster ceiling structure was found to be
in danger of collapse, created a technical and aesthetic challenge
to blend the old and new, while providing handicapped accessibility,
eight new classrooms, new fixtures, and other amenities.
